Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java that support internal editorial workflows used daily by content and production teams.
• Build and enhance data pipelines, GraphQL interfaces and PostgreSQL-based systems.
• Contribute to backend infrastructure improvements and ensure systems are scalable, reliable and maintainable.
• Collaborate closely with backend and frontend (TypeScript) teams to deliver end-to-end functionality.
• Work across multiple systems, ensuring smooth integrations and alignment with business needs.
• Follow features from design to deployment, benefiting from rapid feedback loops from internal users.
• Support the development of platforms that drive high-volume interactions and curated content experiences.

What you bring:

• Extensive experience with Java and modern backend system architecture.
• Strong skills working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Comfortable collaborating across backend and frontend teams; some experience with TypeScript is a plus.
• Knowledge of GraphQL is highly valuable.
• Experience with publishing platforms, CMS, or internal-facing tools is a strong advantage.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a strong sense of shared ownership.
• Ability to articulate opinions clearly while remaining open to new ideas and perspectives.
• Skilled at building alignment and bringing teams together around a common technical direction
• Fluent in English and Swedish.
