Assignment Description

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer (PLC, HMI, SCADA)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
• Implement and validate automation solutions according to CSV and GAMP 5
• Drive digitalization initiatives and integration with MES/eBR systems
• Work with vision systems for automated inspection (e.g. Cognex)
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to improve reliability and data integrity
• Act as OT Cybersecurity Lead together with IT
• Perform root cause analysis and handle deviations using CAPA processes
• Own the lifecycle of computerized systems, including upgrades and obsolescence
• Support audits, validations, and technical investigations
• Contribute to continuous improvement, innovation, and system security

Required Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software, or similar
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in regulated environments
• Strong experience with PLC/SCADA (Rockwell, Siemens, FactoryTalk, CodeSys)
• Experience with vision systems (e.g. Cognex)
• Knowledge of MES/eBR integration, OPC, and industrial networks
• Programming experience in Python and SQL
• Knowledge of GAMP 5, ISO 13485, FDA requirements, and data integrity
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Fluent in English; Swedish is a plus
