Senior QA Test Lead

We are looking for a Senior QA Test Lead to take full ownership of the testing strategy for a large-scale Point of Sale (POS) ecosystem within the retail industry. You will work at the intersection of software, physical hardware, and real-world store operations—ensuring high quality across integrations, devices, and customer-facing purchase flows. The role offers strong autonomy and the opportunity to shape ways of working and build a robust testing capability with clear business impact.

• Define, drive, and continuously improve the end-to-end test strategy for POS hardware and software
• Plan and lead the full testing lifecycle, from lab-based hardware staging to UAT in retail environments
• Coordinate testing across integrations such as payment gateways, inventory systems, and CRM platforms
• Act as the primary technical QA point of contact for stakeholders and ensure alignment between quality goals and rollout needs
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation of regression suites while maintaining effective manual testing for hardware interactions
• Lead defect triage, prioritize critical issues, and collaborate closely with development teams to secure timely fixes
• Ensure quality across complex retail flows such as multi-currency, VAT/tax exemptions, promotions, and returns/exchanges

• 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• At least 3 years of experience in a QA Lead or management capacity
• Hands-on experience using QMetry for traceability, test case versioning, and reporting
• Expert-level experience with Jira, including integration with QMetry for bi-directional syncing
• Proficiency with RFID hardware, including RFID scanners and thermal printers
• Experience testing POS solutions involving both hardware and software components

• Experience working with fashion retail logic and customer-facing store environments
• Experience building or scaling a testing function or center of excellence
