Medior Java AWS Developer (Backend Engineer)

Job Description

Our client is looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and AWS cloud technologies. The role involves contributing to the development of scalable, cloud-native backend systems that support advanced robotic solutions.

The selected candidate will work within a collaborative, cross-functional environment, playing a vital role in building reliable microservices and ensuring seamless cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (version 11 or above)
• Design and manage distributed systems and microservices architectures for high-performance applications
• Partner with DevOps teams to deploy and operate solutions on AWS using services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway
• Contribute to the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
• Support and enhance infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Perform code reviews, testing, and performance optimization to ensure quality and efficiency
• Actively participate in agile development processes and collaborate across teams throughout the software lifecycle

Required Experience

• Intermediate-level experience as a Backend or Java Developer
• Hands-on experience building scalable microservices and distributed systems

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11 or later)
• Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, S3, and API Gateway
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation) is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in team environments
