IT Risk Project Assistant

Role Overview

Our client in the banking sector is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Assistant to support the execution of an information security and compliance-focused project. This role demands a hands-on professional capable of managing both strategic direction and day-to-day coordination, ensuring timely delivery and effective risk control across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project scope, ensuring objectives are clearly defined and successfully delivered
• Monitor and evaluate risk indicators while implementing appropriate mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring transparent and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with PMOs and workstream leads to maintain alignment and seamless execution
• Support team members by providing direction to ensure quality outputs and deliverables
• Develop, track, and adjust project timelines to reflect realistic delivery plans
• Oversee project progress, dependencies, and key milestones from initiation to completion
• Manage financial aspects of the project, including budgeting and cost tracking
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and execution plans
• Prepare structured progress reports and present updates to senior leadership
• Develop executive-level materials such as presentations and detailed Excel reports covering risks, status, and financials
• Handle escalations efficiently and resolve issues impacting delivery
• Engage stakeholders proactively to identify risks early and implement preventive solutions

Required Experience

• Intermediate-level experience in project coordination or delivery roles
• Proven track record in stakeholder management and project reporting
• Experience working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
