Powertrain Software Lead Engineer

You will join an advanced automotive environment focused on next-generation powertrain development. The work spans hybrid engine control systems as well as fully electric powertrains, including electrical drive units and inverters. In this role, you will help turn customer requirements into robust software solutions together with suppliers and internal engineering teams.

You will work in a high-performing in-house setup with skilled software and hardware engineers, close to both project leadership and architecture. The assignment gives you the chance to influence complex technical deliveries in a field where electrification, integration, and product quality are central, making it a strong opportunity if you want real ownership in modern powertrain development.

• You will act as the software component owner for an ECU or inverter in one or more projects.
• You will lead and coordinate base software development across different project phases.
• You will drive deliverables toward suppliers and internal stakeholders, with responsibility for technology, cost, and timing in line with project targets.
• You will work closely with software and hardware engineers, a Group Project Leader, and basetech architects.
• You will analyze customer requirements, break them down for relevant function owners, and plan implementation according to specification.
• You will contribute to efficient technical solutions together with suppliers and colleagues in a cross-functional engineering environment.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or similar relevant experience.
• Experience in base software development for one or more relevant products, such as ECM, inverters, or TCM.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into structured implementation plans.
• Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Fluent Swedish, written and spoken.

• Knowledge of AUTOSAR.
• Knowledge of application software.
• Knowledge of software integration.
