Senior AI Engineer / Data Scientist

At Effektify, we help companies make better marketing decisions by turning complex data into clear insights and useful actions. We are now looking for a Senior AI Engineer / Data Scientist to join our AI team and help build the next generation of AI and ML capabilities in the platform.

About the role

This is a senior, hands-on role across AI Engineering and Data Science, where you will work closely with Max, our AI Lead, and Martin, our CTO, in a small team with broad scope and a high degree of ownership.

You will work end-to-end, from data and ML infrastructure to modeling, experimentation, evaluation, and product-facing AI features.

What you will work on:

Your work will include a mix of:

• Building and improving data and ML infrastructure as data volumes and use cases grow
• Designing, testing, and refining models, algorithms, and decision logic used in the product
• Developing AI features and agent-based workflows that turn connected data into clearer recommendations, insights, and next steps
• Working with data from ad platforms, analytics tools, e-commerce systems, and financial systems
• Taking ideas from exploration to production together with product and engineering

Examples of projects and focus areas

In the first phase, your work may include areas such as:

• Recommendation features based on connected performance data Build functionality that uses campaign, conversion, sales, and business data to surface clearer recommendations on what to prioritise, investigate, or act on next.

• Detection of shifts, anomalies, and performance drivers Improve how the platform identifies meaningful changes, ranks what matters most, and helps users understand why performance is moving.

• Agent-based workflows for insight automation Build systems that combine platform data, AI models, and product logic to automate parts of the insight work and help users move faster from data to action.

About the team and work culture

You will join a small AI team, which means short paths, broad scope, and plenty of room to shape both solutions and technical direction.

A large part of the broader tech team is based in Halmstad (our HQ), while Max is based in Lund. For that reason, Halmstad and Lund are especially relevant locations for this role. At the same time, we are flexible around remote and hybrid setup.

Who we are looking for

Required

• 3+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, data science, or closely related work
• Strong skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with one or more ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience building and shipping AI, ML, LLM, or agent-based functionality in production
• Strong understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals
• Comfortable working with Git
• Fluent English, written and spoken

Preferred

• A Master’s degree in mathematics, physics, machine learning, computer science, or a related field
• Experience working with marketing, e-commerce, or other high-volume behavioural data
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Snowflake or modern data warehousing
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Swedish language skills
• Experience from a startup, scale-up, or other growth-stage environment, or a strong interest in working in that kind of setting

Practical details

• Location: Flexible hybrid setup, with a preference for Lund or Halmstad. We also have offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Jönköping
• Employment type: Full-time, permanent
• Salary: Fixed market-rate salary
• Start date: By agreement
