Assignment Description

We are seeking a Firmware Engineer with a strong focus on cybersecurity to support the development of secure embedded systems within industrial products.

What You Will Work On

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware
• Ensure compliance with EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements
• Implement security controls aligned with IEC 62443 standards
• Apply secure-by-design and secure-by-default principles
• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments
• Develop secure firmware update and patch management processes
• Support SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) creation and vulnerability tracking
• Produce technical documentation, traceability records, and compliance artifacts
• Maintain documentation required for audits and product certifications

What You Bring

• Degree (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or related field
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python
• Practical knowledge of EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) requirements
• Experience working with IEC 62443 standards (especially product lifecycle aspects)
• Familiarity with secure development lifecycle practices (SDL/SSDLC)
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
• Solid understanding of structured software development processes (requirements to testing and documentation)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
