Senior Automation Test Engineer

You will join a team working on a fund trading platform in the banking sector, where quality, reliability, and speed are critical. The environment is backend-heavy and technically complex, with distributed systems, event-driven flows, and close collaboration between development, DevOps, and product teams.

In this role, you will shape how testing is done across the platform. You will have a central part in building scalable automation, improving delivery confidence, and making sure new functionality is released with the right level of quality. It is a great opportunity if you enjoy combining hands-on testing with real influence over test strategy in a modern engineering environment.

• You design, implement, and improve scalable test automation frameworks that can be reused across the platform.
• You build and maintain automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers.
• You drive functional, regression, and integration testing, and you use manual and exploratory testing when that creates the best outcome.
• You integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support fast and reliable delivery.
• You prepare and manage test data, analyze outcomes, and report defects in a clear and structured way.
• You automate repetitive testing workflows and help improve the overall test process.
• You work closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Strong experience balancing automation and manual testing.
• Proficiency in Java (21+).
• Experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright.
• Experience with JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, or similar tools.
• Experience with API testing using REST Assured or similar.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience testing event-driven systems such as Kafka, JMS, or MQ.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns.
• Experience testing complex distributed backend systems.
• Ability to design structured manual test cases and perform exploratory testing.
• Fluent English.
