Senior Data Engineer

Job brief

Your responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and data solutions
• Developing and improving data platforms used across the team
• Providing technical support to colleagues on data engineering topics
• Building scalable backend APIs to enable access to data
• Driving initiatives and contributing to improvements in a high-trust, fast-paced environment
• Working with data to support AI/ML use cases, including preparing and structuring data for machine learning models
• Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to understand model requirements and enable efficient data flows for training and inference

• Strong skills in Python and/or Java
• Solid backend experience
• Strong general programming skills and ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a Master’s degree is considered a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work on-site at the client’s office in Malmö 3 days per week
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience working with data used for machine learning models
• Ability to prepare and structure data for ML workflows (e.g., feature engineering, data pipelines, model integration)

Nice to have

• Experience working with large-scale data processing or data platforms
• Exposure to modern data ecosystems, distributed systems, or cloud-based environments
• Experience with event-driven architectures or microservices
• Experience with visualization or monitoring tools
• Hands-on experience supporting machine learning workflows (e.g., training, inference, or data preparation)
