Senior Android Developer

You will help build secure mobile payment capabilities in a complex technology environment where reliability, compliance and user experience all matter. The role combines native Android development with secure transaction flows, proximity communication and integrations with financial platforms. You will work closely with architects, security specialists and product teams to turn demanding requirements into resilient mobile solutions and modular SDK components. • You will develop native Android solutions in Kotlin for proximity communication, payment flows and secure transaction handling.
• You will build and improve integration points toward backend services and financial platforms.
• You will design and implement modular SDK components and developer-friendly APIs with strong error handling and observability.
• You will drive secure code reviews, remediation work, threat modeling and security testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• You will create robust validation through unit tests and functional tests.
• You will collaborate closely with architects, product owners and security specialists, while contributing to knowledge sharing and sustainable maintenance.
• You will work in an agile setup with sprint demos and regular progress updates.

• Senior-level experience in native Android development with Kotlin.
• Experience with secure mobile development and payment solutions.
• Proficiency in NFC, Bluetooth, QR code and device-to-device secure protocols.
• Hands-on experience with secure handling of sensitive data, encryption, secure storage and resilient transaction workflows.
• Familiarity with Secure Elements/TEE.
• Ability to design and implement secure, modular SDK components and developer-friendly APIs.
• Experience with backend integrations and financial platform integrations.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration and security testing.
• Experience with threat modeling and secure code review.
• Knowledge of OWASP MASVS, PCI, PSD2, EMV and GDPR.
• Fluent English.

• Experience of Swift.
• Experience with React Native or Flutter when appropriate.
• Swedish.
