Senior Software Engineer -Java

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer -Java for a global retail company in Stockholm.

Start is in ASAP, 7-month limited contract to begin with, possibility of extension after that.

Job description:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices.

• Lead end-to-end delivery across development, testing, CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and production support.

• Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to drive technical decisions and resolve risks

Minimum Technical Skills

• Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Spring Framework.

• Strong microservices and cloud-native architecture experience.

• Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD/continuous deployment.

• SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or Cosmos DB.

• Testing strategy, TDD, integration testing, and performance testing.

• Leadership / Experience Level

• Senior engineer with 6–9+ years’ hands-on software engineering experience.

• Owns complex services or domains with minimal guidance.

• Mentors engineers and contributes to engineering standards.

• Makes pragmatic architectural decisions, balancing speed, quality, scalability, and business impact.
