Senior Payments Solution Architect

You will take a key role in shaping the architecture behind a broad payments roadmap in a complex banking environment. The focus is on turning business needs and product direction into clear solution designs across payment channels, payments processing, and reporting.

This role combines strategic architecture with hands-on solution work. You will help define target and transition architectures, guide technical decisions, and stay close to the detail when needed together with product and development teams. It is a strong opportunity if you want real influence over a complex payments landscape and the technical direction behind it.

• You will drive the definition and alignment of architectural deliverables such as target architectures, transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, architectural runways, and end-to-end flows.
• You will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners, and Development Teams to translate business needs into robust solution designs.
• You will lead technical decisions across payment channels, the payments processing platform, and payments reporting.
• You will contribute at both strategic and detailed levels, stepping into solution design discussions where the team needs direction.
• You will present architecture choices and solution decisions in a clear way to stakeholders with different levels of technical understanding.
• You will help move work forward in a large organization with many stakeholders and a mix of traditional project delivery and scaled agile ways of working.

• 9+ years’ experience as a Payments Solution Architect.
• Strong foundation in banking, financial services, and payments products.
• Strong ability to define and align architectural deliverables such as target architectures, transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, architectural runways, and end-to-end flows.
• Solid experience working in detailed solution design activities together with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners, and Development Teams.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, or OpenShift, as well as DevOps.
• Experience managing diverse stakeholders in large organizations and navigating ambiguity.
• Experience working in both traditional waterfall project environments and scaled agile environments.
• Ability to communicate solution designs and decisions clearly, including to stakeholders who do not need the technical detail.
• Fluent in English.
