Cloud Engineer

You will work in a lean engineering organisation where your input matters across both technical solutions and product development. The core stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, React Native, and Google Cloud Platform. It is an exciting opportunity to influence architecture and platform direction in a complex financial environment.

• You design, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure and services on GCP to support scalable and reliable systems.
• You build, optimise, and scale backend systems with a cloud-first mindset using Node.js and PostgreSQL.
• You contribute to architecture and technical decisions that improve scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability across financial systems.
• You work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to shape both technical direction and broader priorities.
• You drive best practices in cloud infrastructure, backend engineering, and platform reliability.

• At least 5 years of professional experience within backend and/or cloud engineering.
• Strong experience building backend systems in modern cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong experience with Node.js and SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing, deploying, and monitoring solutions on major cloud platforms.
• Solid understanding of system design and distributed systems.
• Valid EU work authorization.

• Experience with React, Python, Go, GraphQL, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows, including GitHub Actions.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows.
