Tech Lead Software Engineer

You will join a platform team in a global connected-products environment where IoT and connectivity services power digital experiences for customers and devices. The team owns platform capabilities end to end, from design and development to deployment, operations and long-term maintenance. In this role, you combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You help the team make sustainable choices, align squad-level solutions with a broader architecture, and turn shared product and platform needs into pragmatic technical decisions. • You contribute hands-on to development primarily in TypeScript, Go and Java.
• You lead technical discussions within the squad and help shape long-term solution design.
• You mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, knowledge sharing and day-to-day technical support.
• You work closely with the Service Architect, Product Owner, Squad Lead and engineers to align technical choices with platform and customer needs.
• You design, build and operate distributed, event-driven microservices, APIs and IoT-related services.
• You work with AMQP brokers and transport protocols such as AMQP, HTTP and gRPC.
• You work with data storage technologies including MongoDB, Valkey, SQL databases and AWS RDS.
• You contribute to Kubernetes-based solutions, preferably in EKS, and use AWS services such as API Gateway, WebSocket APIs, NLB, ALB, ElastiCache and RDS.
• You support infrastructure as code, CI/CD, testing, DevOps practices, operations and maintenance.
• You improve reliability, scalability, maintainability, observability and operational quality across the platform.
• You help the team balance future needs with current implementation, operational reality and legacy support.
• You support responsible use of AI-assisted development where it improves quality, learning or delivery speed.

• Strong experience in a role such as Tech Lead, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Architect or similar in a complex software delivery environment.
• Strong hands-on development experience in TypeScript, Go and Java.
• Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers, and guiding technical development in a team.
• Experience taking ownership of technical solutions and making long-term technical decisions.
• Strong technical foundation and the ability to work pragmatically in a dynamic architecture.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven, cloud-native microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AMQP brokers, JSON, JSON Schema, and transport protocols such as AMQP, HTTP and gRPC.
• Experience with MongoDB, Valkey, SQL databases, AWS and Kubernetes, preferably EKS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, CI/CD, testing, operations and maintenance in a DevOps setup.
• Ability to work closely with a Service Architect, understand a broader context, gather input and translate shared needs into technical solutions.
• Fluency in English.

• Deep expertise in Go and gRPC.
• Strong experience in SQL database management.
• Experience designing high-performance and low-latency systems.
• Experience from IoT platforms, message queues, industrial IoT, digital twins, data lakes or time series data.
• Experience with containerization or serverless technologies.
