Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a large-scale data integration team within the financial services sector. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in enterprise data environments and expertise in ETL development, database technologies, and system integrations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing data integration solutions across multiple platforms and business systems. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and operational support functions to ensure efficient, reliable, and scalable data processing capabilities within a complex technical landscape.
The environment includes legacy and modern technologies such as DB2, Mainframe, Linux, Oracle, Informatica PowerCenter, and cloud-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL workflows and enterprise data integration solutions.
- Design and optimize data processing pipelines to support business and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with business users and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple applications and platforms.
- Perform SQL development, query optimization, and database-related activities within large-scale environments.
- Support integration activities involving Oracle, DB2, Mainframe, Linux, and cloud-based systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with operations and support teams to maintain stable production environments.
- Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and best-practice implementation within the team.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Proven expertise in SQL development and database programming.
- Experience working with Oracle and DB2 databases.
- Good working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerExchange.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Previous exposure to complex legacy environments, including Mainframe-based systems.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
The following experience will be considered highly advantageous:
- Experience with banking regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks such as FATCA, CRS, Basel II, Basel III, or similar financial regulations.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, particularly BigQuery.
- Experience with Tableau reporting and analytics solutions.
- Exposure to OPC or Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).
- Previous experience working within Mainframe environments.
- Involvement in production support, operational maintenance, or incident management activities.
Language Requirements
- English – Fluent (Mandatory)
- Swedish – Professional Working Proficiency (Preferred/Required for local collaboration)

Additional Information
· Job Mode: Hybrid (75% On-site / 25% Remote)
