Software Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The Software Tester will be responsible for evaluating software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience with software testing methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Review software requirements and technical specifications to understand testing needs.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers to resolve issues.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.
• Validate software performance, usability, reliability, and security requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives in Agile environments.
• Prepare test reports and communicate testing progress and results to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve testing processes, standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of test case design techniques and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or TestComplete.
• Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
• ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification.
