Senior Software Engineer Nordic Team

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Nordic team, you will play a pivotal role in the continued development and management of our Retail Suit product. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable technical solutions that meet the high performance and reliability standards of our Nordic customers.

In this role, you are expected to work fully unsupervised, focusing on both critical and non-critical code while following our defined software development lifecycle. You will serve as a key technical voice, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and robust, fault-tolerant technical reality.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Act as a mentor for less senior colleagues, guiding and strengthening the team while setting the standard for code quality and architecture within the RS ecosystem.
• Architectural Design: Lead technical analysis and design for complex system components, ensuring all work aligns with broader architectural guidelines and non-functional requirements like scalability and performance.
• Full-Stack Development: Take ownership of implementation for new features and functions, covering both Back-End (business logic and data processing) and Front-End (user interaction).
• Product Strategy: Collaborate closely with Product Owners and Management to assess technical feasibility, refine the product backlog, and influence the overall product roadmap and strategy.
• Quality & DevOps Excellence: Lead code reviews, develop comprehensive unit test plans, and advocate for improvements in our automated testing pipelines and CI/CD strategies.
• Incident Management & Deployment: Serve as a key escalation point for troubleshooting critical production incidents and lead complex deployments using safe release practices.
• Documentation: Act as a role model for quality documentation, establishing best practices for documenting complex architectural designs and decisions.

Your Profile

Hard Skills:

• Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering within a SaaS or retail tech environment.
• Education: Academic degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent working experience.
• Technical Core: Deep understanding of software development fundamentals, design patterns, debugging, and testing.
• Specialization: Strong background in both Back-End and Front-End development with a focus on long-term performance. Deep knowledge around
