About the RoleYou will join a modern automotive environment where software is central to how the vehicle accelerates, decelerates and uses energy efficiently. In this role, you will work with longitudinal vehicle control and help build Core System Platform applications for a new vehicle control unit, in close collaboration with software and control engineering teams.
The work is low-level and hands-on, with a strong focus on C++, embedded development and platform-near software in Linux and QNX. You will contribute to functionality that directly affects drivability, performance and energy efficiency, which makes this a great opportunity if you want to work with advanced embedded systems in a technically challenging domain.
Job Description- You will develop C++ modules, applications, HALs and services using a software development kit for a new core system platform.
- You will create CI test cases tied to the functionality you implement.
- You will debug, test and trace software during integration.
- You will work closely with control engineers to support vehicle control functionality.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners to move development forward.
- You will contribute to how embedded software is built, tested and integrated in the platform.
- At least 3 years of software development experience in C++ and Python.
- Experience with embedded software development in a low-level environment.
- Good understanding of C++, Linux and QNX.
- Experience with automated software testing, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience developing applications using application frameworks and handling lifecycle and execution contexts.
- Knowledge of distributed electrical systems and electrical architecture.
- Experience with test tools such as Wireshark and Canalyzer/CANoe.
- Basic understanding of control engineering.
- University degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics at Bachelor's, Master's or PhD level.
- Fluent English, spoken and written.
- Ability to complete background checks for a sensitive role, including verification of education, employment history, identity, citizenship and criminal record.
- Experience with Ethernet communication.
- Basic knowledge of diagnostics, SWDL and network communications.
