About the Role

We are now looking for a HIL / SIL/ In-Vehicle-Test Engineer to support one of our customers within the automotive industry. You will join a team of embedded systems engineers and verification specialists working to ensure that software and hardware meet functional and safety requirements — from early-stage simulation environments to testing in real vehicles. The work spans the full verification chain, supporting development of safety-critical systems in line with industry standards.

What You Will Do

You will design, maintain, and execute tests across HIL, SIL, and in-vehicle environments. Your work will be central to verifying and validating embedded software and electronic systems throughout the development cycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and maintaining test rigs and simulation environments for steering control 
• Developing and executing test cases based on system and software requirements
• Performing fault analysis and debugging across hardware and software layers
• Supporting in-vehicle testing, including use of diagnostic and measurement tools
• Documenting test results and contributing to verification reports in line with ASPICE and/or ISO 26262 processes

Who You Are

You are a team player who takes ownership of your work and communicates clearly with both developers and system engineers. You are comfortable moving between structured rig environments and hands-on vehicle testing, and you understand how your work fits into the broader development and release process.

You hold an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates who have developed equivalent skills outside of formal education are also encouraged to apply.

You have hands-on experience with HIL and/or SIL testing, and are familiar with in-vehicle testing methods and diagnostics. Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, or Automotive Ethernet is expected. Experience with scripting in Python, CAPL, or MATLAB/Simulink is a plus. A valid driver's license (Class B) is required for roles involving in-vehicle testing.
