Backend Developer with Interest in IT Security

You will help shape backend and integration capabilities in a digital environment where systems, processes, and ways of working are still evolving. In this role, you will build scalable microservices and backend services that support important business workflows and digital platforms in a fast-moving construction setting.

This role combines hands-on backend development with a clear security mindset. You will work closely with domain experts and cross-functional teams to turn business needs into maintainable technical solutions, while also helping strengthen secure development practices across the team. • You will design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable microservices and backend services.
• You will build integrations between business systems and digital platforms.
• You will work closely with domain experts to understand processes and translate requirements into maintainable software.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across backend, integrations, operations, analytics, and frontend to deliver high-quality solutions.
• You will contribute to DevSecOps ways of working by promoting secure software development, automation, and continuous improvement.
• You will apply secure coding principles and help identify and mitigate security risks throughout the software development lifecycle.
• You will support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices for digital solutions.
• You will take part in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement of the engineering environment.

• Experience developing backend applications using Java or Kotlin together with Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing and building scalable, maintainable backend systems.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, including secure coding, authentication and authorization, vulnerability management, and security best practices.
• Interest in contributing to secure development practices and cybersecurity governance.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to work closely with both technical teams and business domain experts.
