We are now looking for a Senior Elastic Specialist on the behalf of our client.
As an Elastic Stack observability specialist, you will support the clients digital journey by contributing to the implementation of a standardized observability stack.
The role is focused on
- Designing a stack that spans over air gapped environments.
- Analyzing current observability data and its usability in KQL
- Define improvements for data consistency and query performance
- Improving data structure and tagging
- Implement alerts, detection strategies and visualizations
- Explore storage type alternatives - hot vs cold storage
- Define retention policies by data type and usage
- Implement head/tail sampling strategies
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer
We believe you have
- Deep expertise in the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Elastic APM, OTEL)
- Experience with Elastic Fleet management
- Strong experience in observability engineering, focusing on logs, metrics, and traces correlation
- Advanced expertise in KQL (Kibana Query Language)
- Strong experience in designing detection logic and dashboards using KQL
- Experience in Logstash pipeline design, transformation, and routing
- Experience with alerting strategies and anomaly detection within Elastic
- Knowledge of data modeling, tagging strategies, and schema design using Elastic Common Schema (ECS)
- Experience in storage tier strategies
- Experience integrating Elastic with external systems e.g. Splunk
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Fluency in English
